Welcome to the Laurel Park Elementary Science Fair Informational Website. Hopefully you will be able to use this source to find everything that you need to know about the 2016 - 2017 Science Fair.
Who?

All Laurel Park students (kindergarten through fifth grade) are eligible to submit a project to the school fair. Projects completed by third through fifth grade students will be judged for eligibility to represent Laurel Park at the regional science fair.

What?
|
Science Fair projects can be investigations/experiments, observations, inventions, or demonstrations/models. Read more about each type in the "Getting Started" tab.

When?
|
The Laurel Park Science Fair will be held on November 3. Track 1, 2, and 4 students should bring their projects to their classrooms on November 2. Track 3 students should bring their projects to their classrooms on October 21 or drop them off at school by November 1. Online registration must be completed by September 30 for a student to participate.

Where?
|
Science Fair projects are completed at home and brought to school for the fair. The fair is held in the cafeteria and all classes will have an opportunity to walk through the fair to look at the work that students have done.

Why?
|
The vision for the Science Fair is that all students will have to opportunity to engage in a scientific investigation. Projects can relate to areas of interest and/or provide students an opportunity to further explore their natural curiosities.
